Congrats to Michael McCormick, AG®

Michael McCormick

The Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) recently announced that Michael McCormick, AG was elected to a one-year term on the APG Nominations Committee.  The following bio was published in their December eNews:

“Michael McCormick, AG, of Utah, in addition to accepting clients directly or as an independent contractor for research firms, recently served six years as an executive and genealogist for a forensic genealogy firm processing over one hundred cases each year. Michael earned a master’s degree in genealogy from the University of Strathclyde, interned with FamilySearch, and is on the remote adjunct faculty for BYU-Idaho’s associate’s degree in family history research.”

We are always happy to hear about the involvement of our Accredited Genealogist professionals in the genealogy community, and encourage everyone to consider membership in the Association of Professional Genealogists. There are great networking opportunities within APG, and having a profile on their website can promote your professional services.

The annual APG Professional Management Conference will be in Salt Lake City September 19 through September 21, 2019, and if you are interested in presenting at it you’ve only got a few days left before the Call for Presentations deadline!  (They must be in by December 15th).  Click here for more details.
