“Oral Review and Professional Ethics” video published on the ICAPGen℠ YouTube Channel

We are continuing to roll out our video series designed to help genealogists become more excellent researchers, and to prepare those who would like to work toward an Accredited Genealogist® credential.

“Oral Review and Professional Ethics,” featuring Mindy Taylor, AG®, will give you an idea of what to expect in the final stage of the accreditation process, and is a good overview of ethical practices for all researchers.  Click on the image below to open the video on our YouTube channel

ICAPGen℠ Website Adds New Resources for Applicants

latest-ppi-news-headlines (1)If you have decided it’s time to make a serious run at that AG® credential, we have some great news for you!  ICAPGen has added new resources to our website aimed at helping you to prepare.  We have rolled out the first of these and have more coming soon, so be sure to check back often.  We have also reorganized the menus for preparation and testing to help you find your way to these resources.

Be sure to check out the menu for “Preparation Resources,” where you will find project samples (including a new link to four-generation reports), level 2 preparation tips (coming soon), level 3 preparation tips, a Research Reference Guide, and links to volunteer as a proctor or join a study group—both excellent ways to prepare you for accreditation.

Our Skill Building series is in the works and will be posted as segments are available.  Be sure to check out the links to our ICAPGen video library (subscribe to be notified of new videos) and outside educational sources.

Our “Guide to Applying for an Accredited Genealogist® Credential” is now available for both the old testing track (those in progress before new changes were announced) and the new testing track (for new applicants).
