Change in Germany Testing Area Approved

The ICAPGen Board has approved a change in the Germany testing area. At present, there is only one testing region for all of Germany. There will no longer be a single Germany Region accreditation; there will be three accreditation regions: East, South, and Northwest. Candidates may turn in an application and test in the third quarter (August) 2018 for the Germany region, after which no further applications will be accepted for the Germany Region.  After that time, applicants will choose one of the three new areas for which to test.

The creation of three regions will allow candidates to specialize in one region of Germany, although accreditations for the other two regions can be earned later.  Those people who already have a Germany accreditation will be able to renew that in perpetuity and will not need to become accredited in one of the other regions, although they may, if they choose to do so.

Big News: Testing Schedule to Include 4 Dates per Quarter

big newsICAPGen℠ has announced the following changes to the quarterly testing schedule, effective 1 October 2017:

The testing schedule has changed to include four dates per quarter for testing activities as follows:

  • Application Deadline remains the first Saturday of each quarter.
  • Oral Reviews will be given during the first month of each quarter generally on the third Saturday.
  • Level 2 exams and retakes of Level 2 will be given during the second month of each quarter generally on the third Saturday.
  • Level 3 exams and retakes of Level 3 will be given during the third month of each quarter generally on the third Saturday.
  • Off-site testing is scheduled on an individual basis.
  • Custom on-site testing available for special circumstances. (Email the testing secretary for permission at testing.secretary@icapgen.org before paying fees.)
  • Additional charges apply for both offsite and custom onsite testing. See Fee Schedule for details.
