With the passing of Ruth Ellen Maness, AG, last week, ICAPGen℠ loses a dedicated and dependable friend and colleague. Our organization has benefited from the hundreds of hours of selfless service she offered us, first as a Commissioner on our first full Commision (2002-2008), and later playing an integral role on the Testing Committee and as Chair of the AG Relations Committee.  Ruth was a testing administrator for many years, and spent countless Saturdays helping out on testing days.  Our organization owes her a huge debt of gratitude.

Ruth was accredited in both Norway and Sweden, co-authored the “German and Scandinavian Research Guide,” and served as a Senior Research Consultant at the Family History Library.  She presented at national, regional, and local genealogy conferences and was the consummate professional.  Her selflessness and example touched the lives of everyone around her, and she will be sorely missed.

Services for Ruth will take place this week: Viewing on Thursday June 29, 6:00-8:00 PM at Lindquist Mortuary, 727 N 400 E, Bountiful, UT. Funeral on Friday June 30; viewing at 9:30-10:30 AM and service at 11:00 AM, Val Verda 4th Ward, 2633 S. 50 W., Bountiful, UT. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery.
