The ICAPGen Level 1 Study Group has openings for the study group that begins on July 11, 2019. The deadline to apply is May 17th, 2019. This study group focuses on helping participants write the four generation project.
To apply:
1- You have chosen your area of accreditation and most of your research is completed for your Level 1 project.
2- You have experience writing genealogy reports.
3- Send a 3-5 page research report to icapstudygroup@gmail.com
Note: If you don’t have sufficient experience writing genealogy research reports, please practice writing research reports before applying to a study group or watch the videos on writing ICAPGen’s YouTube Channel.
Acceptance letters will be sent on June 7th.
Disclaimer: Participation in an ICAPGen (SM) Study group does not guarantee that a participant will pass Level 1 testing. Study Group Leaders will educate participants on the requirements in the Guide to Applying for an Accredited Genealogist Credential®, present lessons regarding sound genealogical practices, present appropriate examples, and make suggestions to help improve participants writing skills. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to assess whether all the requirements of the Level 1 project are met prior to submission. See Level 1 Project Assessment.
